The First Experience of
Transition from Kindergarten to Primary School
在IB-PYP“全人教育”理念的引领下,三亚外国语学校附属第二幼儿园大班的孩子们来到三亚外国语学校小学部进行一场多维度、沉浸式的幼小衔接体验。活动以“身心适应、认知发展、家校共育”为核心,融合IB教育理念与科学衔接策略,助力孩子们在真实情境中感知成长,为终身学习奠定基础。
Guided by the IB-PYP “holistic education” philosophy, the children of the Sanya Foreign Language School No.2 Kindergarten class visited the primary school department of Sanya Foreign Language School for a multi-dimensional, immersive transition experience.The activity focuses on “physical and mental adaptation, cognitive development, and home-school collaboration,” integrating the IB education philosophy with scientific transition strategies to help children experience growth in real-life situations, laying the foundation for lifelong learning.

课堂体验:情境中激发成长期待
探究式学习是IB-PYP的核心课程之一。小学部的老师们精心设计了适合孩子们过渡的体验课堂,将语言、数学等学科知识融入趣味的探究活动,孩子们化身“准小学生”,感受小学课堂与幼儿园课堂的异同,激发对知识探索的主动性与适应性,在心中种下成长期待的小种子。
Inquiry-based learning is one of the core components of the IB-PYP curriculum.The SLS teachers carefully designed transition experience classes suitable for children, incorporating subjects like language and mathematics into engaging inquiry activities. The children transformed into “future primary school students,” experiencing the similarities and differences between primary school and kindergarten classrooms, sparking their initiative and adaptability in knowledge exploration, and planting the seeds of growth in their hearts.

一场开放式的问答让体验更深入。在学生面对面环节,小学部的哥哥姐姐们以“过来人”的身份,用童趣的语言讲述小学生活的点滴,从课堂学习到校园活动的精彩纷呈,孩子们则抛出天马行空的问题,在一问一答间,小学生活的“神秘面纱”被悄然揭开。
An open Q&A session deepened the experience. During the face-to-face interaction, the older students, as “seniors,” shared their primary school life with playful language, from classroom learning to exciting campus activities. The children asked imaginative questions, and through the back-and-forth, the “mysteries” of primary school life were quietly unveiled.

环境是孩子们学习的第三位教师。跟随小学部导览员的脚步,孩子们穿梭于图书室、艺术教室、科学实验室等,用感官探索每一处细节,小学部充满探究氛围的功能教室、校园文化墙以及高年级学生的作品展示,这里充满着无限可能与创造力,潜移默化中帮助孩子们构建对小学环境的归属感。
The environment is the third teacher for children. Following the guidance of primary school tour guides, the children explored the library, art classrooms, science labs, and other spaces, using their senses to explore every detail. The primary school, with its inquiry-based functional classrooms, campus culture walls, and displays of work by older students, is filled with endless possibilities and creativity, subtly helping the children build a sense of belonging to the primary school environment.

科学引领与理念共融为孩子们的成长赋能。小学部管理团队、学生及教师代表向家长和孩子们详细介绍了基于IB-PYP框架下的小学课程与生活,同时向家长们分享幼小衔接的科学路径,倡导家校合力为孩子们营造“循序渐进、尊重个性”的过渡环境。
Scientific guidance and the integration of philosophies empower the children’s growth. The primary school management team, student and teacher representatives introduced the primary school curriculum and life based on the IB-PYP framework to parents and children, while also sharing the scientific path of the kindergarten-to-primary school transition. They advocated for a collaborative home-school effort to create a “gradual and individualized” transition environment for the children.
